Alvaro performed at the famous Italian Christmas Concert 'Concerto di Natale' last Saturday

Together with other famous international artists, such as Anastacia, Alvaro Soler participated in the traditional Italian Christmas Concert 'Concerto di Natale', which took place last Saturday 15th of December in the evening at the Aula Paolo VI in Vatican City. Alvaro performed his hit La Cintura and a Catalan Christmas carol, and also covered Elton John's well-known Christmas song Happy Xmas (War is Over), singing in a choir with the others. The proceeds of the concert go to papal relief funds to help refugees.

The entire celebration will be broadcast on Christmas Eve at 9PM on the Italian channel Canale 5.

The day before, on Friday December 14th in the afternoon, all the singers participating in the Concerto di Natale were invited to a private meeting with Pope Francis, which was held also at the hall Aula Paolo VI. Pope Francis thanked Alvaro and the other headliners for committing their talent to this project in support of the refugees, and Alvaro got to chat with him briefly.

Junto con otros artistas famosos como Anastacia, Álvaro Soler participó en el tradicional concierto navideño italiano 'Concerto di Natale', celebrado el pasado sábado 15 de diciembre por la noche en la sala Aula Paolo VI en la Ciudad del Vaticano. Álvaro interpretó su gran éxito La Cintura, así como un villáncico en catalán, y formando un coro con los demás, también cantó el conocido tema Happy Xmas (War is Over) de Elton John. Los ingresos del concierto navideño se destinan a fondos en apoyo de los refugiados.

Toda la celebración será televisada en la cadena italiana Canale 5 en la Nochebuena a las nueve de la noche.

Al día anterior, el viernes 14 de diciembre por la tarde, todos los cantantes que participaban en el Concerto di Natale, fueron invitados a una reunión privada con el Papa Francisco que tuvo lugar también en la sala Aula Paolo VI. El Papa Francisco agradeció a Álvaro y a los demás ayudar con su talento a recaudar dinero para los refugiados, y Álvaro también pudo conversar con él durante un rato.
