Yesterday Álvaro delivered one of the best and most historic performances ever at Pope Leo XIV's Prayer Vigil in Barcelona

Yesterday (June 9 2026), Álvaro Soler performed live with many artists at the massive concert held at the stadium Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in order to commemorate Pope Leo XIV's visit to Barcelona and the reopening of the Sagrada Familia after 140 years of renovation works. This massive concert, headlined also by Álvaro, coincided with the Pope's Prayer Vigil and lasted from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
First, Álvaro performed his single "Estrella" live for the first time, together with the Spanish artist Alfred García. After that, he went on to present his first worldwide hit of 2015, "El Mismo Sol," which carries the crucial message of uniting people from all cultures, races, and religions. On singing El Mismo Sol, Álvaro was accompanied musically by the voices of the Catalan religious choir Gospel Sin Fronteras.
